Congrats to the winners of the SFHG’s AHA-BJCP certified Bring Your Brews Homebrew Competition. There were 29 entries in this competition. The winners were:

2nd – Paul Liszewski’s W90 Russian Imperial Stout
3rd – Alfredo Rodriguez’s Ahi Belgian Golden Strong Ale
Honorable Mention– Nicholas Damoth’s Road to Nowhere Saison
SFHG Tribute to America – BJCP sanctioned competition.
Congrats to the winners of the SFHG’s AHA-BJCP certified Tribute to America Homebrew Competition covering American Pale Ale, Amber, Brown, and Hefeweizen. The winners were:

People’s Choice – Randy Swanson’s Coco Brown
SFHG Griz Tribute Barleywine & Mild Comp – BJCP sanctioned competition. To honor the life of Griz, a local San Francisco homebrewing legend and owner of SFHG supporter SF Brewcraft, we did a comp for one of the biggest styles of all – barleywine. But keeping in mind that Griz was a pretty chill guy, too, we thought it appropriate to include Mild in this comp as well.

2nd – Arun Bhalla, Old Methuselah’s English Barleywine
3rd – Seth Mansergh, ‘Griz’ly Dark Mild

The winners of the People’s Choice vote at the SFHG 2nd Anniversary SF Beer Week Homebrew Share at Pi Bar were:
1) Open category: Chris Cohen & Tom Tripp for their “10% Milkshake” Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout
2) Competition category – Evan Rusackas for his Old Flathead American Barleywine
